When I opened Taosound Tape and CD in 2003, I just wanted to offer local Taosenos a way to buy, sell, and trade their music and movies.

I had been buying, selling, and trading my own collections for 30 years and all I knew was Taos needed a "Record Store" really bad.

Over the last five years we have expanded to offer New and Used Media, Stereos, DJ & Home Turntables, Search & Special Orders, and Wholesale.

I still put in almost 300 days a year so that I know that Taosenos and our out- of-town customers are getting great music and movies at a far price.

We are friendly and knowlegeable, and can help you find or research what it is you want, be it a rare Jimi Hendrix LP, your favorite TV series, or whatever makes your night rock. We will find it, offer you price options and get it for you fast and right.

We carry LPs, CDs, DVDs, cassettes, stereo equipment, some books, collectables, oddities and more.

John Carey, Boris and the Salt Licks, Joe West, The Jenny Vincent Trio, Michael Hearne, and Art of Flying have all played In-store at Taosound.

They tell us they just like playing in the record store.
